The Aftermath of Two Rounds

Today we met with the oncologist at Dana Farber. After reading the reports from both the CT and MRI scans he was very optimistic about the results. The cancer has not shrunk but it has has not significantly spread either. These were precisely the results that he expected 4-5 weeks into the chemotherapy treatments (less than 2 full rounds). So we're crossing our fingers and trucking forward for another two rounds after which we'll re-check again.

Obviously these are not the results I really wanted to hear. I wanted to hear that the cancer was completely gone and I was cured, but I guess that's not very realistic. This will be a long fight!

One day at time :)

  2. I check your blog almost every day, Jeffrey, and love good news. And if your doctors are pleased, then I'm pleased! And so should you be!! It may sometimes seem like two steps forward and one step back, but as long as you're one step ahead of the game, you're winning!

  3. Keep your head up. I know you have your ups and downs but you gotta look at the positive sides of things. It will be a long process but we will all help you through it. Your a very strong person and fight anything. Remember what Dad always tells us "I think I can I think I can I KNOW I CAN! You can fight this and I don't want you ever to think that you can not. Keep your head up and keep busy. Remember how fast the week went when Kim and I were with you its because we kept busy and were enjoying life day by day!! I hope to talk soon! Love you!
